why (I) draw?

… Well, it became obvious after I stopped.

It is a means through which I can express myself.

It brings me a sense of calm.

Sometimes, if I like what I’ve come up with, it also gives me a sense of achievement.

Did I mention that it can also be a hell of a lot of FUN?! 🙂

I stopped drawing in my early twenties, after the demands of university studies + part time work became too great.

I started drawing again very recently, in my thirties, with a desire to get back in touch with my creative self.

It’s working! 🙂

I am no “artist” by any means but enjoy the process of creating. I am committed to continuing to create, even if I am the sole (soul? think about it!) audience.

Do you draw, paint or otherwise create?

Why do you do it? Feel free to comment below! 🙂

I hope you enjoy the site! 🙂

I will be posting approximately once a week, featuring my scribbles as well as happenings relating to the arts and the benefits of engaging in the process of art making = art as “therapy”.
